The Truth Behind The Pharmaceutical Door

How many of us as a medical student got an email or two from any pharmaceutical company asking us to take survey. Some of my friend in medical school from Malaysia and Moscow received a lot of this kind of email. They even sometimes give invitation to my friend to dinner and have some talk. What is actually their motive behind this. If they are certainly confident about the effectiveness of their drugs why do they still have to do this kind of thing to the future doctors? Splashing them with all kind of luxury so that their medicine will get through the patient gastrointestinal system? Wonder what did they do to the real doctors or the hospital directors?
Regarding to my previous post about the cervical cancer, they are many drugs that have been known to CURE it. Is this true? Does cancer really have a cure? Or is it just a therapeutic medicine that can only make the patient suffer more after a good night sleep?
I have read about this HPV vaccine from a website. They also sell a bottle of this drug there in the website. WOW! Pharmaceutical company now started their online business~
Actually, the procedure to get a drug in the market is by a doctor himself. A pharmaceutical company will approach a doctor and tell about their new research and finding about some kind of drug. The doctor than need to write a report about how the drugs is working. Mostly, they only need about 10 successful cases for the report. However, the patient that being used as a lab rat mostly is the patient that have terminal disease and not aware about the side effect and risks of the drugs. Sometimes, they also didn't know that they were given some experimental medicine. Yes they will be finally 10 success cases but on the way to the successful report, how many patient have died or suffer even great pain because of the medicine. For the record, cancer medicine is not the same as cough medicine or any kind of aspirin. The pain that must be bear by the patient is beyond unbelievable.
According to a statement release by Dr Diane Harper, an oncologist at NHS Hospital in Bedford, England, the vaccine itself is more dangerous than the cervical cancer it claims to prevent! So, the patient have every right to know about this risk that they going to take.
The question here is simple. Are we going to be a doctor that will jump around when splashed by wealth or the doctor that are willing to suffer the hard but true world of medicine. It is your choice, because one day, it is your turn to be on the patient bed.

The only way for us to get the right decision is to imagine if we are on the patient shoe's next time.
