Sambal belacan, lemak cili api, ketam sambal thai. Who am i to resist this mouth watering piece of heaven? But still, people will complain about the stomachache after eating this kind of foods that will make you breath fire. Is it true that spicy food is bad for your health as it will make you have stomachache or is it just a reason for the cowards?

I will state here my finding about the truth behind the spiciness. Firstly, spicy food will make the temperature of your body higher and same goes to your blood pressure. It will erupt to a higher state. This is the reason why you can see your friend's face will change to red color when eating sambal belacan. As the blood pressure increase, your body will signal your brain to increase the metabolic rate of your body to digest the spicy food in your stomach in a faster rate than normal digestion rate. Thus, increase in metabolic rate will make you burn fat faster. So, it is one of the method to loose weight faster. Eat more spicy food. For the side note, drinking cold water is better than drinking hot water. When you drink cool water, your body will increase the temperature of the water to the same temperature as your body temperature for the digestion to take place. In order to increase the temperature, your body need to warm up the water using energy in your body. What is our body source of energy? That's right! It is lipid. More fat burning solution!!!

Blood flow to the stomach will also increase, especially the right and left gastric arteries. and the gastroepiploic arteries.

So mainly, it will increase the metabolism and our cardiovascular system.

Some research is also going on regarding it's effects as anti-oxidant. I will update it as soon as I know about it.
